I walked the perimeter of the Versailles park on March 25, 2017, a lovely day. Starting near the Orangerie, passing by Leto’s Parterre (on the central axis, restored 2015), headed into the groves to the right, to the King's Garden (lots of spring flowers), back toward the main canal, then out to the far end of the Park that is technically beyond the Gardens. The groves and King's Garden are well worth the short walk from the Chateau. The long walk to the Etoile at the far end of the main canal can turn into a 10 mile stroll, great on a fine day but perhaps not for ordinary days. The entire area shows the effects of storms around 20 years ago; lots of young trees. There are exceptions and the King's Garden in particular has some impressive old ones.

Très beau et très vaste jardin, l'entrée est gratuite.trois entrées du parc donnent directement sur les jardin:boulevard de la reine, porte Saint-Antoine et porte des matelots

Il est incompréhensible qu'un tel endroit soit majoritairement accessible aux voitures... Cela gâche beaucoup l'esprit originel du lieu.
