I am a patient (soon to be a former patient) at Gentile DDS at Spring Hill, Fl. I was told that I had periodontal disease and needed a "deep cleaning". I have no signs of gum disease and have always been told that my gums are very healthy. I expressed this to my hygienist and was told that it was up to me but..I would suffer the negative consequences if I did not have toe procedure. I was also told that I needed a root canal and crown.

I was very suspicious that I was the victim of creative diagnosis so I made an appointment with another DDS. He gave me a very through exam and informed me that I do not have gum disease, I do not need a root canal or crown and a deep cleaning was absolutely unnecessary. I believe this practice is up-selling unnecessary services at the financial and health costs of the patients. I would recommend each and every patient who goes to this office to run in the other direction from the unethical and dishonest practitioners in this office.

I would not recommend Great Expressions at any location. This company adds unnecessary services to your care. I was told that I needed a "deep cleaning." I declined the deep cleaning as I've had no issues and have very good oral hygiene. I was told I had no other option, so I left my appointment. I asked co-workers/family that also use great expressions if they had issues with this, and they too were told they needed a "deep cleaning." I went to another dentist for a second opinion and I do not need a "deep cleaning." Nor do I have the 2 cavities they told me I had at Great Expressions...
