The bar at mama shelter is one of the best places for cocktails in Lyon.
They're not cheap but the bar has a nice ambience and feel.

The hotel is new, and modernly, youthfully designed. The whole staff is very young and professional as well.
All of the rooms have a 27" iMac with free films to enjoy, and spacious bathrooms. As well as an extra sink, microwave oven, and a minibar (though this is not very cold).
The restaurant and bar serves excellent breakfast, and nice food all day long.
What was missing is the option of roomservice. If you want just a little snack, in the room, buy it in advance somewhere else, or order in the restaurant and take it up to your room on your own.

Very good hotel for the price. Staying here on business. Hotel is in a decent location. About a 20 minute walk to the city center. Small park next to the hotel with a playground and basketball courts. Overall the room is nice. Has apple TV with movies in English for free. Only a couple of English TV stations (to be expected in France). Bathroom is very nice with plenty of space. The hotel also has parking underneath it, but it is fairly pricy at 19 Euros a day. Traffic in Lyon is horrible so if you plan on driving during rush hour, give yourself a ton of time.
