worst Hotel I ever stayed in Ghana. I never been treated so badly as a foreigner in any hotels around the world. If I could give minus stars I would give minus 100. This hotel is a total rip off. First of all the rate is 250ghs (~60$) for a standard room which includes breakfast (that is a few slices of bred with jam and a cup of coffee or tea), this room contains TV which supposed to be DSTV but it hardly ever showed any channels, air condition(which is very old and makes so much noise that you can not even sleep) water heater (that most of the time doesn't work), then they always have power and water supply issues, which you may think shouldn't be the case at such rate, but you are wrong. This hotel tops it all. The restaurant inside has a poor hygiene, they can't even cook the Bolognese correctly or make a simple cheese sandwich and is completely overpriced, which made me always go to the West Hills Mall for lunch and dinner. Their wifi connection is horribly slow or doesn't connect at all. The director is extremely disrespectful and has serious anger issues towards clients, we have had a debate over the rate and service in which he started being aggressive acting like illiterate by using racist speech. They had previous management that was stealing from the cash deposits, so when it all came up the director made me responsible for the loss because I failed to provide the receipts. So he wanted to charge me double even after I showed him the acknowledgment by his ex accountant that I have paid. Because of all the issues inside the room I had and the poor service we agreed on a rate of 100ghs per day. After a while the AC stopped working.. I was 14 days in a room without AC, working water heater and TV. Oh and forgot to mention, somehow the watee heater gave current to the water handles and I had a serious electrical shock while talking a shower. So since all the suffering they failed to proved a suitable replacement room I told them I will not pay 100ghs for a room with just a bad and a shower that kills people... I have discounted to 50ghs ... which the director has agreed to but then 2 days later he said I should pay the difference again and he charged me 100ghs full for a room worth not even 40ghs per night. I feel like being scammed, would really love to sue them for damages but in Ghana it is difficult do process such case. This hotel is a scam and doesn't deserve to be called a hotel. If you intend to stay around McCarthy area there are by far better options available! But stay away from Ridma... no wonder this hotel is always empty!
