If you visit Levanto you must not leave with out treating yourself to a visit to "Scaramouche Cave". The fantastic flambée cusin, excellent wine, wonderfull atmosphere and not to mention the some-what excentric host. the Cave is a nice break from the good but avarage italien turist restaurants. As flambée is a specialty at the Cave the host will insist on serving your table personaly and as such there can be some waiting time for your main cours, my partner and I found it well worth the wait and appreciated the service. While you wait for the main cours you can order a small starter salat and normal drinks from the girls, not wine though, the host will insist on that aswell in order to insure you get the right wine.
My personal favorit main cours: flambée filet with Scaramouche salsa and a good chianti.
