Unfortunately the initial welcome to this hotel was by a rude front desk man. Other staff all helpful and pleasant.
the hotel is well situated for easy access from the station which is why we chose it. A little far to the centre of Venice but does overlook a canal.
Breakfast included and same limited choice every day
Clean and a pleasant stay overall

Location is great if you came to Venice expecting to walk and get to know the place. The staff is nice and friendly. Room is clean but dated/old which is my only complaint. However, I would recommend it.

We arrived in Venice without a reservation because where we'd been staying in Monza didn't have adequate internet. We simply decided to go and take a chance. After finding out that we happened, by coincidence, to arrive during a cinema festival, we were nervous about getting a room. (we found out about the festival from a hotel that told us rooms may be hard to come by). The advice they gave was to walk closer to the train station, and that's how we found this gem. It's a beautiful, quaint hotel and very well priced. We anticipated we'd pay a premium and so we were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable cost. The room has a little balcony that we used frequently. Also, breakfast is included and there is a good variety (cereal, yogurt, cheeses, breads, juices, pastries etc).
It's a great location near the train station and buses to take you to the airport (Marco Polo). Pick up a map and you should have no trouble getting around.

I really liked this hotel. The breakfast was great and the coffee excellent. Everything is within walking distance including the rail station. Very nice restaurants all around.

Very cozy hotel in front of a canal. The staff is very kind, breakfast is awsome and the vintage decoration is splendid. Is a little bit away from San Marco Square but that's no trouble if you don't mind walking or getting the water shuttles. It's internal garden where you can enjoy your early meal and the proximity to the public park and the train station is a plus. If you are looking for a romantic and quiet place to stay in Venice you should book a room at the Gardena Hotel.
