Very delicious sushi, nice to watch how they prepare it, English menu with pictures and a fair price. I enjoyed it a lot!

Great place to eat sushi in Kyoto. Staff is very kind and they have a lot of variety. The fish and the rice were very good.

Great sushi place that we enjoyed very much. Unfortunately one has to queue for a few minutes as it is a very popular place.
Food
We tried sushi, sashimi and vegetables (tempura). Everything was very good. Pricing was very easy as they charge for nigiri same price.
Ambiance
Tables facing the chefs and usually leg less tables are available. The latter is mainly for parties > 4. Sometimes it is a bit loud as they shout. I guess it reflects them being highly energetic.
Selection
Great variety ranging from usual salmon, tuna etc to whale, vegetable tempura etc.
Service
Prompt and very attentive. Note that there is a service charge
Aside from tourists there were a lot of locals there too. The place is next to a Latin place so it can easily be missed. I would go there again if I am in Kyoto

I don't know where it is main shop, but there is one more branch as a すしてつ in Osaka.
It have a great title of 100 yen Sushi,
Satisfaction with the price is high.
*Edomae(?) style is mean Tokyo style food but in fact, almost the sushi we know is Edomae sushi.
It is good to open until late at night.
