Lorupes grava

Lorupe is 11 km long tributary of the left bank of Gauja. Starts of Sigulda parish and flows out of Lake Umuri. Vidustecē upper reaches of the river flows through a glacier and the movement oriented bed, but the lower reaches of a deep ravine overgrown trees. Lorupe ravine landscape is a distinctive place not far from Sigulda. It is a natural boundary between the sandy plains and the rolling moraine. The river is swift, the water is always cold in the river fed sources.
