Ein tolles sehr persönlich geführtes Hotel mit wenigen schönen Zimmern und einem ausgezeichneten Restaurant. Preislich eher am oberen Limit.
Vermutlich das beste Restaurant auf der Insel oder in ganz Nordholland darum unbedingt an einem Abend das Menü durch probieren und sich verwöhnen und überraschen lassen!
Vorsicht auch hier gehen steile Treppen zu den Zimmern mittlerweile gibt es allerdings einen Lift bis vor die Zimmer.
Nicht ganz so toll und nicht dem hohen Standard entsprechend ist die Tatsache dass die Parkplätze nicht für Hotelgäste reserviert werden und man bei Spezial am besten wenn man später nach Hause kommt nachts noch einen Parkplatz mühsam im Ort suchen muss das ist keine 4 Sterne wert!

Last summer I had the pleasure to enjoy a diner at Bij Jef together with my partner. We started the evening on the comfy patio with amazing little amuse-bouches and a very warm welcome. We then moved to a table inside, the atmosphere was great, modern and open yet warm and private. The room features a semi open kitchen showing a glimpse into the wel oiled machine working to deliver amazing quality food. A very knowledgable but not arrogant sommelier explained all the different wines that accompanied our courses. And the courses, o my, wonder after wonder arrived on the table, flavour explosions and theatrical art on a plate combined. The tempi of the evening were thought out to perfection, some courses were served quickly after each-other, others gave you time to relax and reflect, only to have your attention brought back with something that surprised and delighted us. Every course was accompanied by small freshly baked different pieces of bread, some salty, some sweet, all perfect. The maître d' was amazing and service impeccable, not snobbish and distant but warm and inviting. I've had the best restaurant experience of my life here. And I will come back to Texel, just to eat at Bij Jef again. Loved it!
