As a music lover, I found something to get hands on (come to find out what you can try). And, as a traveller, I learnt something about Norwegian songs. View from here is nice too (even nicer if it is good weather:( )

Place which you HAVE TO visit. I had a lots of fun here, especially in black metal room :-)

Interesting Museum. Unfortunately the interactive part of it was slightly clumsy. Constantly workers had to come and show how to do what...

Awesome museum! It shows Norwegian music from the 50's until now in an interactive, creative and fun way. Apart from original instruments and banda footage you can find rooms able to teleport you to the glorious past decades of modern music. The staff is really attentive, but the best part was floor number 4, where you can actually play (or mess with, depending on your previous knowledge) a variety of instruments and musical gadgets.
The only downside is that written explanations are not in English. But overall a great museum worth the visit.

The museum gives you an overview and history of Norway's pop music culture. The interactive exhibits and overall feel make it a worthwhile visit... if you speak Norwegian. The information is mostly in Norwegian and the very limited information booklet in English is not that useful. I visited on an open day when the entrance was free, but I don't think I would ever visit it again.
