We took the piano menu for two. Appetizers were straight from the can. Tasted like cold slimy snot. Main dish was veal for me which was completely raw when i ordered medium. Girlfriends meal had vegetables burned. Waitress poured wine of the glass and stained my shirt. Perfect birthday dinner... Menu was 30e/ person.

This place is gourmet level at medium price range, and that is excluding the daily menus for 14,99 (that is, a three course lunch). Smooth retro environment and excellent service, so don't be afraid to tip

Excellent, as always. El gran café is an amazing place; specially for a dinner. Incredibly beautiful, traditional and right at the centre of the city. Great service and very good food.

My favourite restaurant in Barcelona. A fine selection of Catalan food and wines. There is a bargain lunch special too. There aren't too many tourists. The service is friendly and efficient. Last visit our lunch stretched out to 5.30pm! The toilets are down some steep stairs to basement. Check- out the private dining room in the cellar - a spectacular venue.
