The Ópera de Arame is a theatre built in the location of a former quarry. A complex structure of tubes and transparent boards was used to build the theatre, granting it its name of Wire Opera. Round in shape, it was built by the side of an artificial lake. To reach the building you need to cross the lake using an elevated footbridge.

Curitiba’s Botanic Gardens are another icon for the city. It opened in 1991 and its beautiful palm house, in Art Nouveau style, is its most outstanding image. As well as the greenhouse, there are French-style gardens, several paths where you can walk and a sensory garden.

The Torre Panorâmica (panoramic tower), also known as the Torre da Telepar, has a viewpoint at the top of the tower from where a fantastic 360-degree view of Curitiba can be seen.
